Regardless whether or not you have diabetes, your chance of developing low blood glucose is preventable. Even if you are taking insulin, you can prevent the condition if you take your insulin properly!

As noted before, hypoglycemia is more common in diabetics. But several tests are usually required to make a diagnosis of diabetes since hypoglycemia can also be caused by something else.

Other health conditions that may also factor into hypoglycemia include another metabolic problem, tumor of pancreas, problems of the kidneys, liver problems, etc!

Furthermore, abusing alcohol, having a personal history of stomach surgery, and certain medicines also increase the risk.

Overall, don’t make a conclusion on your own! If you in doubt to any symptom, see a doctor or your GP promptly! Getting chronic hypoglycemia without known reason should not be ignored!
