So, can you use and take green tea to lower blood pressure?

As mentioned before, while many studies showed that drinking this tea in moderation may help reduce the risk of hypertension for people without hypertension (healthy individuals), but its caffeine may be harmful for hypertensive people.

Furthermore, it contains active substances that may interact with herbs or some medicines for hypertension and other health conditions.

For these reasons, people with one or some of the following conditions should not take it or should consult first with their healthcare provider /doctor to keep safe:

  1. Hypertension (high blood pressure problem).
  2. Heart problems.
  3. Stomach ulcers.
  4. Anxiety or other psychological problems.
  5. Kidney problems.
  6. Anemia.
  7. Osteoporosis.
  8. Glaucoma.
  9. Diabetes
  10. Liver problems.

Women with pregnancy and breastfeeding should not take green tea /green tea extract.

Hormones that increase during pregnancy and breastfeeding can raise blood pressure. And if you get too much consumption of caffeine, this can make the problem get worse.
